Borg Wimbeldon's

Fed played a mug era

Sampras' was second best

Borg's and Nadal's French Open were 3rd best

Fed again played a mug era in that time period and a young Novak who was slamless at the time.

I completely agree. It's amazing that Sampras could have had 8 straight Wimbledons.

Borg wining the channel slam 3 times in a row (and almost 4) is more impressive than any of those imo.

Butt from that list Fed's 5 USO is the hardest one to achieve I think. RG and W have less competiotion than the USO probably.

It is strange though that Wimbledon is the streakiest of the slams. You'd think a fast surface would be prone to more random upsets.

Old man at his best slam beating Nole at his worst slam. How surprising.

That's like berating Sampras for never reaching a French Open final

There are asylums for delusion people such as yourself, kind sir

Fed is merely a top 3 player of all time, tied with Rafa and a soon to be Nole as well

Borg and Sampras are GOATS with Sampras taking the edge IMO.

Does anyone actually have the data on which slam is most difficult to repeat and dominate? Recently it must be probably be the US Open, Federer played six different opponents in his six finals in a row there...

Australian Open

Nobody has really dominated that place like they have with all the other slams.
It's mostly because it's always been the first or the last major, so players are either rusty or tired after an extensive season. Thus, making it harder to dominate because you really have to have good fitness or be in form after a long break.

Since the AO begun playing on HC instead of grass, we have the following:

AO: 15 different winners
FO: 16 different winners
W: 12 different winners
USO: 16 different winners

Wimbledon the only one who sticks out. AO slightly behind the two others even with one tournament extra.
