Thanks Mr. Duong. The reason it bothered me is that I recalled some study somewhere being done which all but proved that non-seeded placement was not being done randomly at certain tournaments. I think the US Open was an example of this, where top players have seemed to always get the "weakest" non-seeded opponents, supposedly to enhance their chances of moving on to later rounds. As I recall, Roland Garros appeared to be the most random.

So I was curious if each tournament had some measure of control on the proceedings. But anyway, this is a tangent to the original topic based on my observation of the qualifier/wild card placement for the Dubai draw.

Respectfully,

yes it was this article :

http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/...tically-likely

it had been discussed in the "do you think that draws are rigged" thread.

It targetted the US Open for both men and women's top seeds' early round opponents but other slams appeared random for that question, not only Roland-Garros (RG's specificity was that women's top seeds had tougher opponents than expected)

Officially, there's no statistical control being made a posteriori that I have heard of : in that case it was fans who questioned ESPN who questioned the tournament.

It's become a habit anyway : organizers probably want Fed to play tight matches and they know Djokovic would race whatever the opponent.

Still it's a lot for the old man

Going with Djokovic to win. Hoping for a Djoker-Fed final, it's been too long since they last played each other...

Bottom half of the draw is jam-packed, looking forward to Fed vs Berdych or Tsonga SF.

All of my Top 5 favourites are playing here,

God Fedtards are retarded
Containing about hard draws? Really? Get over yourselves. Half of Fed's grand slams came from mugs like Roddick, Safin and Hewitt FFS

These are small shit tournaments whoever wins doesn't indicate anything plus I wouldn't doubt if Tsonga and Berdych lost in the early rounds after their final thats coming up tomorrow

Fed has an easy draw until he hits Berdshit (it may be Tsonga, in which case Fed has easy draw till finals).

He faces forever-journeyman Jaziri, followed by either Mugollers or Mugtanes, followed by Mugarevic, Davymugko, or Mugic.

Djokovic's draw just happens to be even easier, but Fed's draw is not hard.

Raonic didn't have a single break point for the entire match, I wouldn't call that anywhere near tight, but that's just me
