Irish Davis Cup Team Announced
James McGee (WR 293)
Sam Barry (WR 588)
Daniel Glancy (WR 905)
Colin O'Brien (WR 1412)
Garry Cahill, Captain of the BNP Paribas Irish Davis Cup Team, has today named his players to face Finland in the Davis Cup by BNP Paribas Euro/Africa Zone Group II second round tie.
James McGee will lead the team, and will be joined by Sam Barry, Daniel Glancy & Colin O'Brien for the tie at Castleknock Lawn Tennis Club which takes place from the 5th-7th April 2013.
The winners of this tie will face a promotional play-off against either Latvia or Monaco from 15th - 17th September 2013.
James Cluskey declared himself unavailable for this tie as he wishes to focus on his doubles career over the next three weeks.
Garry Cahill commented: "It will be a real challenge for us against a team which are higher ranked in Davis Cup and which will most likely have
Jarkko Nieminen (WR 49) as their number one player. We will give it absolutely everything and with the home crowd support behind us,
we are very much looking forward to a hugely exciting tie.”
