Jeff and Yves won 7-5, 5-7, [10-6] having been 0-3 down in the first. They converted on their first matchpoint, to wrap up the match and book a spot in the final. Great effort in their first pairing, and they face #3 seeds Damm/Vizner, who Jeff beat with Wes at the Aussie in 3 long sets.

No. 3 seeds Martin Damm and Pavel Vizner continued their good form in France by moving into the final of the Open 13 in Marseille with a hard fought victory over top seeds and reigning US Open champions Simon Aspelin and Julian Knowle 4-6, 7-6(5), 10-8.
Despite breaking serve less time than their opponents, Damm and Vizner were able to edge out the victory after one hour and 52 minutes. Damm is a two time champion in Marseille, clinching the title in 2005 and 2006 with compatriot Radek Stepanek. Vizner has finished runner-up twice, with Adams in 1999 and with Cibulec in 2005.

In Sunday’s final they will face rookie pairing Yves Allegro and Jeff Coetzee who defeated French pairing Julian Benneteau and Paul-Henri Mathieu 7-5, 5-7, 10-6 in one hour and 37 minutes. Allegro and Coetzee trailed 2-5 in the opening set before winning five straight games. After dropping the second set, they finished the match strongly by winning five of the last six points in the match tie-break.

Allegro will be appearing in his 10th career ATP final and trying to win his fourth ATP title, the first since Halle in June 2005. Coetzee, a finalist in Doha the first week of the season (w/Moodie), is making his 13th career ATP final showing (5-7). His last ATP title came in 's-Hertogenbosch in June last year (w/Wassen).

Damm/Vizner d Allegro/Coetzee 76(0) 75. Jeff and Yves broke at *3-4, but were immediately broken back. They were subsequently unable to take advantage of game point at *40-30 *5-5, and went on to lose the deciding deuce in that service game. Jeff is still chasing his first title of 2008, but must be very pleased with yet another excellent week.
