Jeff & Dominik lost to Butorac/Murray by a score of 64 36 [9-11] I guess those guys really are hot this week.. They never have been when I've seen them play!

The match is scheduled fourth and final match on Grandstand court today from 4pm. The idea of a such a late start is to minimise the effects of the heat & humidity on both players (and primarily the fans). Hopefully Jeff can improve his current 0-2 record against Hanley/Ullyett of this year.

Week of 14th August, Jeff & Robert Kendrick played the Bronx challenger, making the semi-final. They beat Nikita Kryvonos and Denis Zivkovic of the USA(!) 6-4, 6-2 in the first round, and subsequently defeated Yen-Hsun Lu & Danai Udomchoke 6-3, 6-3 in the quarterfinals. They took on the #2 seeds in the semis - Martin Lee & Harel Levy - losing a close 6-2 5-7 8-10 battle to the higher seeds.

Jeff has been playing an exhibition event in Hamptons, NY in preparation for the Open - instead of playing New Haven. They lost 1st round to O'Brien/Reneberg 67 in the 3rd, so played the consolation event - where they reached the final. In the final, they were a set up, but it rained the whole day so the match was cancelled.

In the USO, Jeff & Rogier are in the bottom half of the draw and face Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo & Albert Montanes. Jeff has second round points to defend from last year, and I think he has a good chance of doing so - he has a lot of support this coming fortnight, and seems pretty pumped. Fingers crossed that the hip gives him no trouble!

Jeff & Roger the Dodger play 5th on Court 14 from 11am. I think there will only be livescoring.

Jeff & Roger scored a comfortable 6-1, 6-3 win over Ramirez Hidalgo/Montanes. That win means Jeff has secured the defence of second round points, as he and Roger prepare to face #7 seeds Jonathan Erlich & Andy Ram in the round of 32. They will have a day off on Friday, most probably playing on Saturday.

Jeff & Roger play the Israeli duo first match on Court 7, at 11am today. Good luck to them - you can follow the match with the livescoring on the tournament website, although this court offers no match stats unfortunately.

It really doesn't look as though Jeff will get into the mixed doubles as an alternate, as almost all of the first round matches have been played, so let's just hope he can stick around in the men's doubles instead.

Due to adverse weather conditions, Jeff and Roger didn't end up playing, and so will have to try again today. The schedule was re-jigged twice yesterday - once during the day session, and once for the night - unfortunately no play was possible at all. Instead, they will play 3rd match on Court 6 from 11am. Fingers crossed for some better weather!
