This. Even Dimitrov would have beaten either Benneteau or Simon in the final.

Julien

Simon, such a fighter, he really could have gone away, especially with his leg issues, but he hung around and this match had a lot of great rallies. And he got two more games than Olderer

Final will be really tough for Benny, but there is not pressure, he'll be the huge underdog for the 3rd straight match.

What happened in the Australian Open when Julien played Grigor?

Gilles just beat Dimitrov on grass of all surfaces at the Olympics and is 3-0 against him in his career. I'm a fan of Grigor but he's so overrated on this forum, he would have been a clear underdog against either Benneteau or Simon.

Anyway, tough loss for Gilles but Julien played well. Got to stretch those hamstrings before the match!

Forgot about that. I just compared their levels of play today. I gave Dimitrov the edge based on that

not bad tennis but pretty boring. Gilles sort of foled at the end, looked sluggish in the tiebreak!

Del Potro has to be overwhelming favorite buttttttttt would love if Benneteau brought some A game touch and won his first title

congrats, Julien great to see you overcome Simon and back up your win against Roger (always so tough to do).

unfortunately I think you'll be pulverized in the final.

There were actually quite a few great points in this match. A nice contrast of styles.
