I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

Spieth/Reed together is excellent. Two rookies paired up is one of the more intriguing aspects here.

Anyway Europe will win and pretty comfortably too. With Horschel and Johnson absent the Yanks have already taken a blow. They don't have the depth to win this.

Europe should win.

Can't say I would be terribly disappointed if Tom Watson is holding the trophy on Sunday. The man is class.

Just hopes it tight.

For some reasons, I've became a bit more of a USA tard recently. Wouldn't really hate them winning. Still cheering for Europe.

Still a nob, but credit where it's due, very good.

Poulter in ruins, good to see. Solid stuff from the rookies, clutch from Mickelson and Bradley in particular with that eagle.

Managed to catch the end of the second session. Some putt from Rory on 17.

The amount of layers the golfers had on today was ridiculous. It was windy, but far from cold.

A soft bunch.

Yeah Rory and Garthia really pulled it out at the end there.

Did anyone catch Simpson's 100 yard drive to start off the tournament? Funny stuff.

Good to see Jimenez there chomping a cigar. He couldn't have been much worse than Poulter today. Spieth/Reed vs Bjorn/Kaymer has excellent potential if the Yanks can adjust to the step up.

A cute little event the Americans have created so that they can win a team event in golf
