Rotterdam R1: De Bakker def. Youzhny 3-6 7-6(2) 4-1 ret.
It's getting a tradition for Youzhny to retire at this event, he received treatment on his lower back after the second set. De Bakker was injured too, so good victory.

Rotterdam R1: Youzhny quits against De Bakker 6-3 6-7(2) 1-4 ret.
Youzhny wasn't injured. He never looked like he was. I can say De Bakker really looked as the player who was hurt but continued playing. Youzhny just got frustrated with De Bakker's return in the last game and with his poor game and just decided to quit

it's not Youzhny's habit to do that imo, he must have had a problem even if it was not obvious.

I might have to put my house on Gulbis, surely it's impossible for all the Dutch to advance.

Disgusting result. Misha should have won in 2 if he didn't waste the last BP in 2nd set, what a stupid loss.

I didn't see the third, but I assume it was a continuation/aggravation of whatever hindered him against Cilic last week.

I wouldn't be surprised if Haase, being the highest ranked Dutch player, folds easily against Gulbis.

Better player lost. Serve kept De Bakker in the game in the second set. The Russian was dominant from the baseliner
Youzhny shoud have closed it in two, but gave away one service game in the second set when a break up.

Because the serve isn't part of tennis right?
Nice result for De Bakker

That's not what I said. I wanted to underline the fact that it largely contributed to his victory.

Re: Rotterdam R1: Youzhny quits against De Bakker 6-3 6-7(2) 1-4 ret.
cutesteve22 no need to badrep me for this. I have absolutely nothing against Youzhny. I even like his game but i tell you he didn't look to have anything. You tell me "pretty awesome to tell one's injured or not just by your eye.lol". Well it's not too hard to tell when he didn't call a medical time out for the whole match and untill then he was running after every ball and showed no signs of injury at all. I know there are some very small chances he would've had some pain which wasn't obvious and i'm sorry if it's so but i really doubt it. I don't think a player can run like that on a court and then suddenly retire
