Monfils pulled out some absolutely incredible shots and entertained as usual, but he's not ready yet to challenge top players. I hope he's not discouraged, should ask for a wild card to Marseille and hopefully get a softer draw so he can keep building up his ranking and avoid terrible draws like this one.

It was all about Delpo being more steady although Monfils was generally the aggressor and more flashy player.

Del Po also often was the aggressor, there was a little bit of both actually, I would even say that Del Po rather was more the aggressor even though Monfils made more flashy shots.

Anyway those 2 can make some good matches together

sounds like a typical Monfils match. The other player being the aggressor, taking higher risks but he, on the other hand, stealing the show and winning the more flashy points + crushing the more impressive winners. Didn't see this match but the clear difference is: no shame in getting overpowered by Delpo and being forced to defend more than to attack against him... when he does this against some other players, though..

yes but it's true that Monfils was quite offensive in that match and sometimes tried to move Del Po more than the opposite, honestly it was very encouraging except those two service games wasted, one being his first service game
