Re: Vina del Mar Final: Zeballos stuns Nadal 6-7(2), 7-6(6), 6-4
better player. totally deserved, he was more agressive, more consistent. Just epic, even If he goes back to 2012 form after this tournament. Nadal way too passive.

Great match of Zeballos!! Totally unexpected but I think he played the match of his life today! Well deserved victory...

Incredible from Zeballos, especially that last game!
Winning his first title by beating Nadal in the final, that's huge.

Well guys, I guess that is that. I could just about accept losing 4 games to Chardy as off days happen occasionally. However, losing not just 19 games to Zeballos(WTF?), but also 2 sets and ultimately the match is unforgivable. Peakdal would lose 2 games max against this guy in a BO5 match.

Worth to mention that he was 2 points away from defeat and acually break down in third.

no I disagree, Nadal raised his level on many key-points and fought a lot, but he just probably didn't expect he would have to play against a player playing that well, it was not Roland-Garros final
and also Zeballos created a lot, lots of surprising shots, caught the lines ... very troubling for Nadal.
of course he can play better but it's only his first tournament

Re: Vina del Mar Final: Zeballos stuns Nadal 6-7(2), 7-6(6), 6-4
Horacio Zeballos played perfect today. He was consistent in the baseline, he made excellent flat shots with his backhand and forehand, he was on fire. He played an excellent match, and he deserve the title. I hope this is the start of a new great player going up in ATP ranking. He has won 20 of his last 21 matches (he only lost in the Australian Open and he won 3 consecutive Challengers before winning here in Viña del Mar).
Hard to loose on a final in clay (the fifth time that Nadal looses on a clay final) but Nadal has made a good return to courts. He has to improve on his movements on court and gain more speed. But it was a good week for him. He wanted to feel first feeling on court in Viña del Mar. He did it. This match will help him more than a victory.

Wow, the same Zeballos who played that god-awful match against Krajinovic, who would've thought? Can't wait for the highlights
