Rotterdam R1 WWW: Gael Monfils vs Juan Martin del Potro
 Horrible draw for Monfils (and JMDP). Ideally, I'd like him to take this and go far here to get his ranking back to a decent position and avoid these draws, but can't look past Delpo. Don't think Gael is ready to challenge/beat players of Delpo's caliber yet.
It's their first ever match against each other, hopefully it's a good one. |

So harsh on Monfils, he desperately needs to stay fit and gets his ranking back up to avoid these situations. Think Del Potro will be too strong and win in straight sets

I think Gael will surprise us, IMO he's going to take it in 3, Gael will surely make it tough for Delpo to hit through him.

Monfils will take first set as it's been a while since Del Potro played match on tour then Juan will rise his level and win next two.

Delpo in three sets 62 36 76. It'll be an entertaining match, most likely consisting of some great shot-making and rallies, but my man Delpo just has a bit too much polish and power.

Yep, and with his current ranking Monfils will keep being a horrible player to draw for the top players in the following tournaments. Delpo's level this season, as well as his fitness, still has a question mark in my eyes (though that is permanent with Gael) so i could expect some rustiness in his game. Tricky but think Delpo straight sets him.

I have a feeling Monfils. Delpo can be very rusty first rounds and Monfils played against Gasquet this week so he should be more in practice
