I'm no Fakervic fan but he needs to save tennis, sadly tree trunk legs will be fresh. Interesting he's never questioned...

1. Yannick Noah (as much the man and his charisma and his soft charming voice, as the game, but some who only remember his final years don't remember how good he was in his early years, esp. on clay ; he had Tsonga's style of pushing forward and walking on his opponent, and Monfils's elasticity rather than Tsonga's muscles)
2. Henri Leconte (hard to describe but one day I read "nobody could play better tennis than Leconte except McEnroe", it's quite accurate imo, the most technically talented French player of the times I saw, I wish everyone had seen him play in his good days, esp. on clay, also watch his match against Sampras in Davis cup if you can)
3. Boris Becker (I have sweet memories of his runs in Monte-Carlo, gave me a lot of hope on clay in those early years, didn't confirm, also I loved his backhand passing-shots and returns, and the way he prepared his serves)
4. John McEnroe (like many, didn't like him much in his early years, but realized later what an extraordinary phenomenon of tennis this man was, probably THE phenomenon of the times of tennis I've seen, together with Federer, it's hallucinating the kind of shots he could do)
5. Fernando Gonzalez (could give me orgasms with his forehand and his totally engaged and confident game with a total absence of fear)
6. Andreď Medvedev (funny, nice and romantic guy, his interviews are to be read for those who didn't, also great shotmaker from the baseline in his early years)
7. Ivan Lendl (I was moved by his early years, he looked so skinny against Borg in RG 1981, then I always considered him quite like a "victim" and I tended to support him, even in his match against McEnroe in RG 1984 -I regretted it later-)

After that, it's hard to distinguish between many players of different times that I could like punctually but not with such consistence.

Top Ten Retired Players
1. Gustavo Kuerten - Best 1 hander of all time. Charismatic and lovable.
2. Juan Carlos Ferrero - Mosquito was always my favourite Spaniard, even though he didn't accomplish as much as Rafito.
3. Andre Agassi - Liked his game, personality and became even more of a fan after reading 'Open'.
4. Marat Safin - Charismatic and talented player, should have accomplished a lot more.
5. Gaston Gaudio - Glad to saw him win 1 RG, wasn't the best claycourter out there but was definately a flashy player.
6. Alex Corretja - One of the best players never to have won a slam. Great 1 hander.
7. Fernando Gonzalez - El mano de Piedra, devastating forehand + true grit.
8. Fabrice Santoro - The Wizard. Need to say more?
9. Alberto Berasategui - Weird techniques/grips, lovely to watch.
10. Andy Roddick - Always felt for the guy, American pressure + Fed denying him. Great character and despite being not so talented achieved a lot.

1. Andre Agassi
- LEGEND , such a great ballstriker, nowadays there is only Djoker who plays anything even close to the style that Agassi did in terms of taking the ball that early, and he was so charismatic, always cheered for him to beat Sampras, too bad that he ended up on the losing side of that rivalry , loved reading his book 'Open')
2. Patrick Rafter
- Such a nice guy, and to this day, I'm still gutted that he didn't win Wimbledon , I thought 2001 was surely going to be his year to win it, especially after beating Agassi in the semis and Sampras having lost to Roger in R16, and yep, an extra bonus is that he's an Aussie!!! )
3. Marat Safin
- This guy had so much charisma, he was too busy partying instead of practicing, but when he was 'in the zone', just watch out, he was capable of playing some damn good tennis, will never forget Safin vs Federer AO 2005 SF
4. Andy Roddick
- Much like Rafter, I'm still gutted that he didn't win Wimbledon 2009, he had that 2-0 sets lead in the final on the edge of his fingertips, but he couldn't hold onto it, and we all know the rest... , he was unfortunate to be playing at the same time as Federer - otherwise he def. could have won 4 or 5 slams, still at least he has a hot wife and I'll always remember him for his sarcastic comments, hilarious press conferences (especially the one where Fed trashed him 4,0,2 in 2007 AO SF) and launching his often questionable tirades against umpires)
5. Fernando Gonzalez
I don't think I have ever seen anyone hit forehands as hard as this guy and also with so much fearlessness, what a sight to behold, I'm still at the one he hit into Stepanek's butt a few years back and he didn't even apologise . Great 2007 AO run he had, that match against Haas in SF where he hit I think 45 winners/3 unforced errors was just

1. Safin - the one and only
2. Kafelnikov - not very popular in his prime, liked him because of that
3. Edberg - the unforgettable BH volley
4. Mecir - capable of doing anything on a court
5. Ferrero - I'll never forget that look up to the sky after winning RG
6. Medwedew - original personality
7. Santoro - unorthodox, but very enjoyable game
8. Sampras - what consistency on serve
9. Ancic - sorry for an illness and injury stricken career
10. Grosjean - green green grass and improving Richard's forehand.
