Re: Biathlon thread
Any ideas for today.
I think OEB will take medal, Fak will be dissapointment today, also any Russians will take medal.
Hope Anev will break in TOP 10

Re: Biathlon thread
That Pidrushna gold was quite out of blue.
Germans completely out of form...

Re: Biathlon thread
As for today:
1.Berger
2.Zaitseva
3.Pidrushna
And
1.Fak
2.Fourcade
3.Bjoerndalen
SLO team without Fak can barely be called a team. We should get Butkovic once Maric retires.

OEB has regularly been better in pursuit than sprint the last few seasons, so a medal is not a long shot. But he can't catch the top-2 unless they have at least a slightly off day at the range. I believe Fourcade will win, and we also get a Norwegian medal (either Svendsen or OEB). A Russian for the third medal sounds probable. There's a lot of them in contention. I guess Ustyugov. I'm not writing off Fak, though. For Anev, he'll need to shoot well, and preferable for some of his opponents not to do so. Which is not at all unlikely.
For the Women, I believe Berger will win. Zaitseva should advance to a medal. I don't think either Ukrainian will remain high, look for a someone starting a little back to get the third medal.

Re: Biathlon thread
How did Svendsen lose 10 seconds to Fourcade/Shipulin in 1 km after the last shooting?

He told Norwegian TV that he wasn't aware they were right behind. He thought it was only him and Malyshko, and so he skied tactically and didn't press.
I must say also, after 10 reruns of the finish I still can't see how he was ahead there. I can only assume the jury has a better camera.

Re: Biathlon thread
only in the official photofinish he was clearly in front, but that picture doesn't look right. I assume the TV camera angles are wrong or something, but it was really strange
