He spoke about Safin, not Safina (google translate )
I really didn't go through google text, but in original he didn't say "way below men's standards" but "different sport"
this is what he says originally: "Everything is different: movement, way of producing a shot, the best wta players cannot slide on the red clay. There are tactical and technical differences. It is being said men's tennis is more professional. Maybe there is something into it, since in WTA many players are coached by parents. In ATP it's impossible to happen. In women's tennis peace of mind, acceptance, generally the psychological part is crucial, so this model works. In ATP it's about technique, tactic, typically tennis things"
we can translate that piece into whatever fits our agenda though. i don't think this was being said with disrespect

He didn't say he could beat fed, or will, he said he didn't like him because he was full of himself. Fed is full of himself that doesn't change whether or not he beats Jerzy.

Generally when comments are made negatively by a player about fed, media has a field day and creams all over their keyboards used to write articles when said player and fed plays (see Tomic vs Fed). There's always the hope by the media that said player goes on to beat fed and become something big.

Since when was Toni Rafa's dad, or do you know something the rest of the world doesn't?

Re: Janowicz criticizes Federer and Djokovic's attitude
Of Djokovic he said: "He is fake, he shows off, he _________ (Janowicz used a Polish verb here which has four meanings 1. to play-act, especially feign an injury/dive on a football pitch 2. to pretend, to play roles, to be an actor in one's life 3. (very rare) to play in a movie etc. 4. (rare) to clown around
Of Federer he said: "Federer is a guy who wants to be above everything (all) else. Maybe in that sense there's something unnatural in him, it's hard to feel that he's one of us [tennis players]. When lower ranked players protested that the Grand Slam organizers pay us a mere 14% of what they earn, Djokovic, Nadal and Murray were on our side even though they are millionaires. Federer said he thinks <<it's OK>>"
The journalist was baiting really hard, but Janowicz sure has a big mouth .

Re: Janowicz criticizes Federer and Djokovic's attitude
Davydenko said Federer is a nice guy he knows to win GS ,Stakhovsky said about Fed something as well. This young guy said his opinion as well. Did Federer say anything about them personally so that they felt bad ? No. These guys likes to make news. Ones like oranges others
apples. So move on.Why his opinion is so important because he got to the final of MS at the end
of season when every top player is tired. The best thing of this final was Ferrer who won the first MS 1000 in his career. If Pole guy had won it WOW then his mouth would not possible to shut up,
