Probably some academy or USTA paid for the WC.

Damn. And I thought that Minar could be a potential dark horse of this draw. He can't serve at all today, only 45% 1st serves in, though still somehow holding.

Podlipnik-Castillo def. Minar 6-3 3-6 7-5

Minar served for the match *5-3, and manages to lose 4 games in a row, still had a BP at 5-5 on Podlipnik serve. Both combined 20 DF.

was just reading up on sam barnett who often appears in doubles and qualies for this type of challenger and gets killed first round. I've seen him on streams a few times and he's pretty dreadful.

Anyway, turns out he's some kind of whizzkid who while still in college developed an alogorithim that reads and predicts the stock market.

He invests for clients based on his computer model's predictions and manages a hedge fund worth over 100 million dollars, a job he's obviously able to do from his laptop anywhere given he spends a fair chunk of his time travelling the challenger tour.

Great catch, never thought to google him before. Graduating from CalTech says all I need to know. Also in a phd program at Northwestern ATM.

This is the muggiest challenger of the year and nothing came even close to that. After the WTA scorline of Thiemo match, today, some huge chokes so far and more WTA scorline. This is could be either a total nightmare or a dream for the gamblers. Anyway, if you are a gambler, you cannot hope safe bets in this tournament.

I have been noticing in this guy too. I picked on him in some TT matches and he is always an easy peak. 6-0 6-1 against him and that's it. Can't believe the actually a so smart guy decides to spend his good money like this

Great victory for the chilean! He is only 19, I hope he will be with Garin in the top 200 soon

If he has enough money to do something he loves (probably gets paid millions), why not? Great way to see the world and have fun, playing the sport you enjoy. Few get the privilege.
