Laaksonen is a joke player. No real intensity in his shots.

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)
15 aces in the 1st set from Muller but he doublefaulted at 9-10 in the TB. Michon saved a few set points (including one with a fantastic passing shot) .

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)
Muller really underperforms on challengers nowdays, should've taken the week off after decent run last week, somehow can't believe he's here just to collect peanuts for the first round (440€).
This smells like that loss against Desein at this home tournament at the end of last year.

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)
Desein cleaning lines, killing with those passing shots, that new stupid 'no let' rule got him 2 points, Muller returning poorly, everything is going for him today.

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)
Michon def. Muller 7-6(9) 7-6(8)
A very poor performance from Muller. In the second set he had some set points again (I think there were 3, including one on serve at 6-4).
Michon plays Millot in R2.

Re: Week 9 : Cherbourg (Entry List)
Muller had 2 setpoints in each set. Michon overperformed that's for sure, see him getting easily defeated against Millot.
Muller lost in similar vein to Desein, almost lost to Borque 2 weeks ago, just poor performance, probably low motivation, just proves once more he likes the big stage. Bad for him cause draw until SF was very weak.

A couple more:

2st set: 6-6 *6-4, 6-6 6-5*, 6-6 8-7*
Michon was lucky to get away with a few.

Michon was playing great, returning some stuff that he usually has no chance with especially on big points, also Muller was caught so many times by that passing shot when he tried to serve and volley.
Just did a bit or research, Michon is from the region where Cherbourg is located, that's why he got the WC, probably his family was there, huge motivation factor.
