Re: Miami Entry List (updated February 6, 2013)
Looks like Isner is struggling to get over his knee problem. He lost to Istomin in Singles and withdrew from Doubles at Memphis. Not sure if he will play here.....

Toni Nadal has denied that a decision has been taken on that for Nadal so far.

Someone could tell me if Gulbis now ranked 67 will be entering main draw instead of qualies?

Only if there are about 50 more withdrawals before the deadline:

They base the main draw on march 18. Is it a rule or they do what they want?

Re: Miami Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated March 7, 2013)
Thank you Rob,
So we should always refers to the entry deadline whatever happens meanwhile.
So unless someone withdraw and the tourney gives him a favour to replace the player in main draw, he will have to play the qualies. Whatever.
They gave a wildcard to young Harrison that Gulbis beat thuesday!!!
But I find it quite unfair, it probably happens many times to other players as well.
In Gulbis case, he better put his name fast for further masters.

But it is fair. Players have to know in advance whether they can enter in the main draw. Flights must be booked, preparations have to be taken. If you want them to let Gulbis in one week in advance because he finally starts to take his sport seriously, it means that some other guy suddenly is out of the main draw (not talking about WC's). It's Gulbis own responsibility for letting his ranking slide so low.

Re: Miami Entry List/Fact Sheet (updated March 7, 2013)
I think they are saving the last wildcard for Federer.
Both, Dubai and Rotterdam didn't work out for him this year.
In case he now failed to make the IW final as well, I guess he would want to play here after all (if that's allowed by the ATP rules, I'm not sure).
His main goal for the season is certainly Wimby and he might try to defend his N°2 ranking against Murray at least till then.
...Of course, I would prefer Fed simply wins IW, makes off into vacations
and leaves the wildcard to Gulbis.
I mean, all the American youngsters lost early in IW. So the tournament could really grant Gulbis the last wildcard.
