DC R1: Darcis def. Zimonjic 6-2 6-4
I think this deserves a thread. Nenad was little rusty at the begging of the match cause it was his 1st singles match after 4 years (and maybe his last).
Also, this was a chance for all of you serve&volley fans to enjoy his S&V game...
Nice effort Ziki

Re: DC R1: Darcis def. Zimonjic 6-2 6-4
Interesting match and decent showing from Nenad, was finishing almost every single point at the net A bit shaky in the 1st, but doing well in 2nd, even saved a couple of MPs and got one break too in the 1st

They got Zimonjic to play singles?? Really? Well, he didn't do too badly for a doubles player, I guess.

He did great considering he's almost 37 and hasn't played singles in 4 or 5 years.

Nenad Thought they'll give a chance to one of the younger players?

I think DC rule not allowing you to put anyone not on the 4 players roster.

Just a terrible rule that contributes to needlessly exhausting & injuring players. DC teams should bring youngsters along and let them play dead rubbers. It's a no-brainer, doesn't even need to be discussed the way other issues such as reducing it to best of 3 or playing every 2 years would need to be.

Re: DC R1: Darcis def. Zimonjic 6-2 6-4
they should have a 5 player roster, two guys for doubles, 3 for singles, fifth guy can be used for dead rubbers

Re: DC R1: Darcis def. Zimonjic 6-2 6-4
I think they should allow like 4+2 players. 4 are allowed to play both live and dead rubbers and the remaining 2 are allowed to play only dead rubbers.

Re: DC R1: Darcis def. Zimonjic 6-2 6-4
Yup, if dead rubbers must be played, at least the teams should be able to choose whichever player they want, it can't affect the result.
