I'm not patriotic myself, but this competition clearly does mean so much to certain players. I like it for the team aspect, the variety of surfaces and the atmosphere it creates in arenas but personally I don't care what country anybody is from. I mean.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-OnWnwwxNPA

Berlocq needed 3 game points to close out the service game after PK came back from the MTO, and PK held serve fairly routinely in the next game. Frankly I'm a bit surprised he retired; it's not really obvious he would've lost But I guess he doesn't want to risk further injury.

Kohli could not move for his life. He did only hold because Berlocq couldn't handle the slow serves!

Charly i'm sure this win means a lot for him. unlucky Kohlschreiber but i'm happy with the W going to the arg side.

Kohli had won all previous 7 five-setters when the score reached 5-all in the 5th set.

The correct scoreline is: 3-6 7-5 2-6 6-4 4-5 (40/0) ret.

That injury was extremely unfortunate but the fact is that the German for the first time hasn't won a tight 5th set in eight cases.

warlocq celebrated like he won the lottery. Even sadder while his opponent was limping off.

If there was a tiebreaker Kohli could try to play til the end but without one, impossible for him to break without hurting himself more.

yes he could not run and he could hardly serve, made a kind of serve without jumping at all. Berlocq was disoriented for a while and Kohli even had 3 break points, but then Berlocq regrouped, and there was no way Kohli could win.

funny comments saying "he seemed to be injured" and "some strain in the thigh"

it's a real big injury he had

and the drama is that he was leading 0-30 on Berlocq's serve, Berlocq made a 1000-th dropshot, which Kohli was going to easily put away for 0-40, I could already foresee his win ... and he made an unbelievable error.

Next thing we saw Kohli was on the chair and then couldn't run and serve

Credits to Berlocq for his fight and some very good shots
