Whole lot difference.

Not comparable

Edberg is better if compare to Djoker
Becker is better if compare to Djoker

Caesar is correct when he states that it is easier to accumulate one's slam count in today's contemporary conditions. No variety in surfaces = easier to dominate all 4 slams, thus increasing a players slam count significantly.

Like Federer said a while back, I think it is enough to be considered a "legend" of your own era that you played in. And that is what Nole will be when all is said and done. Trying to compare players achievements from differing era's is extremely debatable with no definitive answer.
THIS!! Close the thread now. Cant believe some of the people here. Wonder when they started wathcing tennis
Becker, Edberg were legends of the game due to X number of reasons. Just equaling their slam count doesn't mean the current generation player is suddenly better
Of course Djokovic is a great player. Number 1 player in the world. But trust me on grass and fast hardcourts that were prevalent in the 90's, Becker and Edberg will be handful for anyone.
Game is extremely one dimensional now. Boring to watch. That is a FACT.

In terms of the aura that surrounds them, I don't think so. One had the most beautiful game tennis had ever seen and the other was a freakin' 16 year old Wimbledon champion. Hell, I don't even think Federer is there yet.
You need to be long dead or retired to be really considered a legend.

He isn't even near to them. You can't compare 3 times Wimbledon chamion Boris Becker and legend Stefan Edberg with him.
How many titles/finals he has on european Slams? Just 1+1.

How many finals/titles does he has on european Slams? Just 1+1.

Off-course Goran would be better if he played 80% of tournaments on his favourite quick grass like Novak play on his favourite slow hard. Plus grass and clay is actually hard now, too. So if had played all tournaments on quick grass he would be great.
If you didn't know Australian Open was on grass until 1988 (Goran made his first quaters on Slam next year on AO).

oh I know everything about Goran my uncle was his big fan........Nobody cares if you won Wimbledon 7 times or AO 7 times it's still counts as 7........Edberg never won AO 4 times .........so he can suck it in that regard.......when Novak is done Edberg wont be close to him anyway

Yes man. Wimbledon is the only tournament that matters. The AO is a mickey mouse tournament. Not like it's a slam. Everyone can win it 3 times a row, it's not hard.

Ivanisevic is better than Djokovic. Roddick is better than Djokovic. And Pat Cash and Krajicek are at the same level that Djokovic is.

It's your opinion and not a fact. Don't be so arrogant. If you find today's game so boring, don't watch it.
