Re: Has Djokovic surpassed Stefan Edberg and/or Boris Becker?
Numbers aside he has passed both of them and his game is more complete. Novak will end up with a Roland Garros title, and would have a few other than his playing Rafa there 4 times. They are both better than him on grass, obviously. Hardcourts all of them were great, but Novak is the best of the 3 on a outdoor hardcourt.
Edberg had 72 weeks at #1, thats impressive.

His game is more complete, how? If he cant serve and volley or volley to win a serious doubles match?

He is much better on clay than either, ever were. You ever watch Becker move around on a clay court? He is close to them on grass, but not as good. Is the better hardcourt player.

OMG!!!!
He only has a W title and he didn't even beat the most accomplished grass player of this era to get it. He only got mentally-scared Nadal in the final. WTH, he didnt even beat Murray
Seriously, some perspective would be nice
Nole might end up with better accomplishments( titles, weeks at #1,etc...) but he would never reach their status. And God knows i'm not a fan of neither.

Re: Has Djokovic surpassed Stefan Edberg and/or Boris Becker?
correction: he might have passed in Serbia, poor country that always suffered and now has an icon, but in Sweden, Germany, you know, those mighty places, Becker and Edberg are still legends as big as Djokovics.
Its the same as Kuerten in Brazil, legendary because he won 3 Roland Garros, even if he didnt face a Nadal or a Borg. Everyone was happy, sambaed but now...meh...only the best fans like Fishnet stay with their senses on.

Serbia has more legends in their sports than Sweden and Germany put together but I have no doubts that in Germany or Sweden their players are more popular........

grass is playing in about 5 out of 50 week in a year. That's exactly how much is significant - 5/50. Really noone cares about it except old failures and cows.

You can twist it however you like, but beating two-time W Champ Nadal in a W final is definitely a great achievement.

Re: Has Djokovic surpassed Stefan Edberg and/or Boris Becker?
It's not about who you beat, it's about what you win is what counts. That said, IMO, Nole has surpassed both.

Goatovic better then these clowns by a country mile.
Why do we even have to talk about things that happened more then 5 years ago? Old players were all clowns anyway...
