Lo, their early matches were often pretty bad, much better quality later on

I remember Montreal 2007 - the first sign of Fed declining where he gifted Novak the title. Awful performance by him...
Yeah during the so called "best era"

Dimitrov - disgusting cheater
Please don't start the era talk because you know you'll be owned before you can say 'Ajde'.
I wont for your own good.

Patrick McEnroe brought out the stat that there is no advantage to an extra day of rest and I believe that a very competitive 5 setter 2 days before your next match can only improve your chances and get you into fighting form. I was actually concerned about djoker's easy win over ferrer and his extra day off. So I rephrase your question, did the extra day off cause rusty nole to lose that first set in the final? Me thinks.
Nole showed us how to peak last year despite a grueling semi-final. The fact that Murray starts to fall apart at the first sign of sustained and serious opposition says more about him than Federer. That's why I want Nadal back. He don't fold like a scottish tent in the wind.

I don't dispute your data, which I'm sure is from an excellent source.
But in order to truly surpass Federer, I think most would agree that Djokovic needs to, you know, WIN some more majors...
I think it would also be appropriate to look at where Federer was in terms of tennis titles at the age Djokovic currently is, to gauge in some way the likelihood of Djokovic catching up...
5 years ago Djokovic and Myrray only just started to "bother" Federer. And even then Nadal was already a penicillin for him. Apart from that, Hewitt wasn't much of the threat. And for winning majors, I'll just sit and wait, I'm pretty confident about that

Djokovic won the title in R4, I don't know if that was fair, I don't know if that was a deserved match, but what i'm sure about, is that match gave him the confidence to play great tennis and win the title.
Roger Federer tired Andy Murray out in their semi final and you can't help but feel that Roger helped Novak win this title.
Discuss.
And probably Mirka tired Roger the night before so Mirka won the title for Novak !
I'm pretty happy with all those peole working for Nole in secret !
HVALA VAM SVIMA (Thanks to all of them)
