Sure, it looks improbable, but since retirement/decline is hypothesized for everyone else, I thought it would be rude to leave him out of it.

Was just a comment to everyone making assumptions that Nadal and Federer is done and that this leaves the field open for Djokovic domination. Things will always look easier if you're allowed to assume away the competition.

Re: Will Nole surpass Nadal's GS count at the end of their career?
Can he? Yes. Will he? Unlikely. If Novak ends up with 10 slams, then he will be in Rafa's league imo. He will be a Tier II all time great just like Rafa.
I'm not thinking about all this to be honest. I just want to enjoy every success moment he gets. He is already a legend and that's more than enough for me.

I think he'll get 2 more AO, 2 more USO and 2 RG. Maybe he can fluke another Wimbledon.

No brother. I am not a Djokovic hater. I just think Rafa will beat Djokovic in most tournaments. Djokovic's form is not at 2011 level and Nadal did not surrender last year.

That may be, but we don't what No1e's form will be for the rest of 2103.We'll have to wait and see and the same goes for Rafa(nobody knows what his level will be after such long pause).Rafa didn't surrender but he lost the epic final.

At the end of the day, Novak is a Wimbledon champion and Murray isn't and that makes him a more successful grass court player than Murray, at least atm. Are you willing to bet on Murray that he'll beat Novak on grass 5 times in 5 matches? Murray's grass game (even tho very good) is overrated.

I expect Djokovic to lose to other players than Murray at Wimbledon when the Serb is 28. That's in only 2 years. Djokovic is not that young, almost 26. Federer, 7x Wimbledon winner, was already losing to the likes of Berdych and Tsonga at Wimbledon when the Swiss was 28-29... And this is Federer.

Re: Will Nole surpass Nadal's GS count at the end of their career?
of course he will...
Nadull is done and dusted winning any slams and Serbian Slayer is only getting stronger with each passing day. He will probably finish with 13-14 slams in total, majority of them being on hardcourts of course

Djokovic could end up with as many as Sampras.

He lost but that match played on Djokovic's best surface was instrumental in restoring the lost belief. Djokovic saw demons in the dark sky that night. Not in the wildest of his dreams would he have expected Nadal to claw back with such dogged attitude after six consecutive shattering defeats on all surfaces. Nadal swept the clay season after that with a knee injury. He is ready to take down Novak again. Raging bull is fit and ready to fight at Roland Garros, Wimbledon and US Open.
