Re: Swimming
Water polo obviously doesn't belong here, but
Serbia - Hungary SF was probably the best water polo game ever. Serbia and Hungary are water polo archenemies so a great game was expected, but still... :hail:

Yes, great match as expected. Sadly 'Barracudas' lost. I was hoping Ser-Cro in finals.

Re: Swimming
Greece has 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze all in Open Water Swimming
The gold and silver by Spyridon Gianniotis, who was even on the Sportscenter top 10 plays for his gold in the 10km
And we had 4 semifinalists so far in regular swimming, which is really good for us since we don't normally do well in regular swimming events
And our womens water polo team is the only undefeated team left (with wins over the likes of Russia, Italy, and Netherlands ) and they are in the final vs. China

Re: Swimming
Italy wins gold in Mens Waterpolo
8-7 after extra time
incredible save from italian keeper with 10 sec to go with 1 player less. He also saved 2 penalties

Re: Swimming
Goal keeper saved his team...Cro third. I thought Italia was the least favorite among big four but...third gold (1994 last time).

Liverpool FC need to return to the good old days when the players were born and bred locally. Dalglish, Keegan, McDermott, Kennedy, Lawrenson, Hansen, Grobelaar, Toshack, Molby ........ or were they just the Chelsea of the 70's buying the best talent available in the market?

Re: Swimming
Australian swimming trials are taking place at the moment
Looks like Steph Rice is back in form now in both the medleys. But tonight Magnussen is talking himself up to go low 47 in the 100m. Going to be a world class field with Sullivan, Roberts and Targett all looking to break 48 sec
