Serious answer:

Back in 2007, when Murray was a mug pusher (and he really was), anyone with some weapons and the ability to dictate play could beat him.

Nowadays he's improved his shots and more importantly learnt how to take the initiative in points, especially the big points. He's also gotten super fit.

So, right now, I think Murray is on par with the other top guys.

No. It's a very even match up and their defence cancels each other out. Depends on the surface and who plays better on the day.

Watch the AO 2007 match against Nadal... He was far from pushing in that one.

As for this match-up, I think it's very even. Small margins decide between winning and losing. It's rarely straight-forward. I hate it though and hope they won't play again for awhile. They bring each others' levels down. UE galore...

I don't think the matches are on anyones rackett to be honest, they are both so close in terms of talent. It just generally depends on who's better on the day. Sometimes it's Murray, sometimes Djokovic. Either player can beat the other on any given day, it just depends on who brings their best on the day and often in certain key points.

The problem is that Djokovic is rarely at his best when playing Murray, of course because of the match up or because Murray can neutralise his weapons better. But in the rare occasions I have seen both of them at their best, like Rome last year, you still knew Djokovic would win. He even wins those he doesn't play at his best, like AO or yesterday. That doesn't mean Murray has nothing to do with the outcome of these matches. He most often than not forces Novak to play worse than his best, which is a triumph in itself. But when he cannot achieve that, because you know Nole ALWAYS steps it up later, that's when problems begin for him and he knows it. Novak has an attacking mentality that Murray doesn't have and he always tries to attack first.
Explain why they have similar number of winners and in the last match Murray lead the winners total by 28-23. So the attacking player hits fewer winners. Overal this year Djokovic may be slightly ahead on winners, but certainly no sizeable margin.

This year the difference has only been down to mental toughness (a factor which at the highest level is very important), best illustrated by Shanghai and to a lesser extent here. Rome last year was again the mental toughness factor.

only loser claim that to be the deciding factor in a match........also Novak is an attacking player in his core

Mental toughness is a key factor at the highest level and an important reason why top players are at the top.

On an attacking basis, except for Federer I do not think the current generation is very attacking.

Becker, Edberg, McEnroe, Sampras are players I would call attacking.

According to his own fans, Nole couldn't even adapt his game to a bit of wind. If it's not even on his racquet playing in conditions which someone who is meant to be a lesser version of himself can adapt to, the answer to this question will always be a rather large no

Always no but it's been more in his racket than in Murray's one for sure.

Especially in the past when Murray won, it was when Djokovic made too many errors.

It's been less the case recently : Murray now has more weapons.

But it's still partly the case, I think, yes : when Djokovic plays very well and very solid, it's very very tough for Murray.
