The guy is just delusional..or maybe he means that a lot more people will win grand slams in their "era", not just the top 2.

No it doesn't

It is more than obvious that he meant the whole tour and that includes Rafa and Roger and everyone else.

Why look for controversy where there isn't any?

It's certainly higher quality than the Mugerdal era characterized by moonballs to the backhand.

Exactly.

The thread title is incoherent as well.

He never mentioned anyone other than himself and Murray, so no, he did not mean anyone besides them.

Considering he used the word "era" and not "rivalry" ("I think we're experiencing maybe the best era of all times"), I doubt he was talking about strictly himself and Murray.

I think he's referring to this as the Murray-Nole era.

That would be more than strange. I have never seen anyone refer to two players ranked 2 and 3 as defining an era. Nor 1 and 3 - when Djokovic passes Federer, Murray will still be a good bit behind.

I take it for given he was talking about the entire tour. If he was misquoted, that would not be the first time.

I agree it's strange, it does sound out of context now that you mention it.

Fedal match was filled with tons of errors in the net, flat hard serve, double faults, poor overheads, terrible line call challenges, ball bashing or weak backhands. Little else.
The media scared the rest of the tour so they thought no one could beat Federina.

For me, their matches are more boring than Federer/Nadal, Djokovic/Nadal or Federer/Djokovic.

On slow courts and in windy conditions, yes.

Sunday's match was pretty entertaining, IMO.

Exactly.

13/13 should not be taken as a positive stat. It reveals tactical idiocy in this case.
