As one poster explained, Simon came there barely off injury and with a flu - he did fine imho. However, mind boggling that Monfils wasn't even trying, and he can hit the crap out of the ball when he wants.

Yeah, but 71 shots? And at 0-15? It was a while since I watched the video (not watching this again) but surely at some point before the 71-shot mark, it would have been reasonable to attempt to pull the trigger?
