Lucky? Baldenko is a well known best of 3 specialist. There is no fucking way he could hang with Nadal physically over 5 sets. Especially prime Nadal.

Davydenko at the 2007 us open would have roasted prime piggy any day of the week, unless it was at wimbledon. I think that there is no way Nadal could handle it, it would be like his semi with murray in 08

Nadal was tired at USO 2008 and had a minor knee injury. No version of Baldenko takes 2009 AO /2010 USO /2008 Wimbledon Nadal on any surface.

Uh? Andy was passed by whom exactly?
Roddick was still making quarters and semis as the younger generation came into the scene, not to mention his Wimbledon final. Federer remained his primary obstacle.
He has winning records over most of the current crop, including Djokovic, Berdych, Tsonga, Almagro, Gasquet, Isner, and co. He has respectable records against both Nadal and Murray. And he even scored wins over rising players like Dimitrov, Raonic, Dolgolopov, Nishikori, and Tomic prior to his leave.
And if that weren't enough, he split major meetings with each of Djokovic, Murray, and Nadal (both their meetings outside of their respective primes).
The idea that he was passed up by this group is a myth. Federer was his only real career hindrance.
You could even argue that Hewitt wasn't necessarily left behind so much as he was brought down by unfortunate injuries and poor draws due to a helplessly declined ranking.

Man don't you know that Prime Davy was sublime in endurance ??? Not as much as Nadal of course ... but 2007 USO Davy or 2007 RG Davy would've roasted Nadal in 3 ... as he shown in ROME 2007 Nadal even said that was his hardest clay match !

I say
Rebound ace - AO Davy > Nadal in 4
Plexicushion - AO Davy > Nadal in 5
Slow 2005 - FO Nadal > Davy in 4
Fast 2012 - FO Nadal > Davy in 5
Slow 2012 - WO Nadal > Davy in 4
Fast 2005 - WO Nadal > Davy in 3
Slow 2012 - USO Davy > Nadal in 4
Fast 2005 - USO Davy > Nadal in 3

OK, Roger does not exist as assumption. Then, other great players exist in that time. Could they continue winning like Roger Federer?
let me know.
And please also give me this explanation. Davydenko > Nadal. Roddick > Djokovic.

I would be surprised to see Kolya beat Nadal in Grand Slam now, but 3 years ago it would be certainly possible.

Only he has chance in 2007.
The courts were so fast, Safin, hewitt, nalbandian, agassi is 50 50 against him. Old person surely not afraid of rookie and will play lights out.

You seem to have missed out 3 words from my statement: "in the rankings". He was passed by Djokovic in 2007 and by Murray in 2008.
