The whole Slam champion excuse doesn't fly since David has never even been to a Slam final and Marcos' final run here was 7 years ago. And the match was NID for Ferrer. And unless Tsonga found his 2011 Wimbledon game, then I expect the same for the night match with Federer.
At the very least make it a double feature. Put Murray-Chardy on first, then Federer-Tsonga second if they aren't going to give one of the two spots to a women's match.

Ferrer & Baggy are on different side of the draw, they were never playing on same day Murray did. Draw was lopsided : Djokovic is only star on top half and he played vs clearly weaker opposition in 1st week which is not good for night matches., Berdych is "half star", others are usual workhorses. They had problems : who is BIG enough player to have night match, who is entertainer? Thats why they put Ferru and Baggy on, they didnt have better names.
Bottom half had more bigger names : Fed, Murka,Del Potro, home crowd fav Tomic, Tsonga, always entertaining Monfils. They had different problem : who do we leave out of night matches, whose match is less interesting for crowd ? They thought Murray matches were probable beatdowns and they were right too. They put Monfils as last match 3 times and at least got competetive matches in 4 and 5 sets. MTF may not agree , but I would watch Monfils- Simon 5 set "gladiator show" rather than Murray beating crap out of Berankis in straights.I think crowd loved it also.

Re: Murray camp unhappy with schedule
The Chardy camp is the one who should be outraged because Chardy has never played on RLA. Huge unfair advantage for Murray in this match

because Andy Murray has won so many matches when the odds were against him and people doubted him come on mate, get real.... I do agree that the lack of matches on cooler temps could potentially hurt him if he ends up playing a night one in the next few days BUT it's not a big deal and certainly none of his matches have been very exciting so far so maybe obviously the tournament directors were smart in their decision not to put him on center@night. it's got to be a kickass matchup or Roger Federer to deserve that billing

I think it'll also be unfair to the day session spectators though.

kind of a dumb thing to ask, S. Williams is one of the most successful women's players of all time, and is facing an up and coming star and similarly black American athlete in Sloane St. pretty obvious which match on paper gets the kudos. plus whatever happened to being GENTLEMAN, I mean I believe the US Open for example always has women play first in the night sessions just because it's a kind thing to let chicks get their night over earlier. chivalry! let's play up that as a possible arc in this order

People should never take anything "The Daily Mail", publishes as gospel. Along with "The Sun" and "The Daily Star", they are the worst kind of newspaper.

You have the bad fortune English is a world language, meaning that most people can read what the idiotic part of your media has to say, as opposed to the sensationalistic segment of the press in other countries. I can imagine this has led to Murray getting more criticism than he deserved in the past.
