Remember when Djokovic used to be like Simon? Do you really think its possible to go from that, to one of the best athletes in history just by fixing your diet?

Be honest, do you really think pro athlete should look like that? And one who won that slam year before. He had medical issue that got solved and haters can hate.

Simon is a yardstick for fitness normally, but even if he isn't (who would that be? Ferrer and then who?) he's 20 pounds lighter than Nole, he played less and he was just a shadow of himself in next round.

Simon has all his game based on retrieving, long rallies and outrunning the opponent, so it would be reasonable to expect him and Nole to recover in a similar at least fashion.

You have to be blind to not see the shocking difference.

Maybe it's the donkey cheese making miracles, or some Asian turtle blood or whatever magic, that's why i'm not saying openly anything, but often when things are waaaaay too good to be true - they aren't. No need for examples.

evidently, you have some special problems. so let me share it with you, again: simon was cooked for good vs murray because he was injured, first and foremost. (not that a healthy simon would win it).

look at the stats. his average serves against murray were 160/138, which makes serena look like karlovic. second serve against monfils was 128 ON AVERAGE.

as for the diet question, you evidently have no clue what kind of debilitating effect gluten can have on those who are gluten intolerant. read a bit, then come back and start pontificating.

It's not just the diet. Is it hard to believe that he became a hardworker just like Ferrer for example? Do you actually know how hard these top players work? No one of us knows but surely all of them worked really hard to achieve what they achieved.

Nice of you to ignore the part that Simon was injured.

Again, people sometimes only want to see what they want to see.

One co-worker of my Dad's had a daughter with Coeliac's.It is definitely that horrible and she got much better physically after going gluten free. However the tough thing is actually not to consume gluten, because it's everywhere!
so yes,I believe that the physical improvement is a result of this not of the speculations.I want to throw up a little from this topic actually.

Many still look like this after great effort and they don't have any medical issues.

Simon can do the marathon, i'm pretty sure.

I know that for a fan it's hard to look from any other point of view (what often happens with parents not seeing their kid is having drug problems, just because their brain intentionally shuts the obvious signs down), but honestly this is too miraculous for me.

And i'm not even a Djokovic hater, i kind of enjoy the whole thing coz it's funny to me, rather than having a need to prove whatever or hate. Nor i'm concerned about a match between the two, i enjoyed the WTF final so much, it was awesome and incredible (no egg could give Djokovic this never say die attitude and ability, nobody could deny that).
I'm more concerned about the Murray match, than the eventual final.

But it's still funny how the guy could do 6 sets matches 3 times a day and look fresh as a cucumber

What happens is smth not even close to human possibilities - one high level athlete among a bunch of others having an extreme physical and stamina advantage, it just doesn't stick.

They are all training hard, some of them train even harder than him, others possibly less, but the final results are like between me and Gebreselasie..

i have a friend, she had bulimia too

do you really, with a sane average level intelligence could imagine that Djokovic has his magic coming from the gluten free diet and all the rest are idiots stuffing their faces with it?

Djokovic invented a revolutionary diet, which no specialist had thought about and no one else uses?

srsly

I remember Murray about 5-6 years ago was also like Simon now and could barely finish a 5 set match. Why isn't he like that now?Why no one acuses him of doping?Because he's not a big treat?

Actually winner to unforced errors ratios indicate much.

Djokovic hits more winners than Berdych because Djokovic moves much better and retrieves shots from Berdych while it is easier to hit winners against the poorer defensive skills of Berdych owing to his movement.

Berdych hits far more errors because he know that he has to go for bigger shots to hit through the Djokovic defense.

The big difference between Djokovic and Berdych is the much better movement and balance of Djokovic. In fact Del Potro is the only non exceptional athlete (balance and movement)to win a GS in the last 7/8 years.

I would expect a Djokovic Murray final to have more errors than winners owing to the difficulty of either player hitting a winner.

i ignore it for a reason - less speculations, because what matters here is the physical freshness - Simon had none, Nole had it all.

If we put the eventual injury or not, the tards will use it as a base to speculate how Simon would have taken a set off Murray, proving he's been just as fresh as Djokovic, which is not true, so rather cut it short from the beginning.
