First player to go 35/35.

Next best is Connors who went 34/35 in slam appearances. That 34/35 has stood for 30 years without being seriously challenged until now.

Dreadful performance from Raonic really. I just think he had a bad day at the office, not much to say about it, all the forehands which were close to the lines landed on the wrong side of them. Federer was super competent and very dominant on serve, always in control.

Whilst it's disappointing for Raonic to play a bad match here, it shows how dangerous he is that Federer could only break when the Canadian made a bunch of errors. If he plays a good clean match, Raonic can be a potential threat to everybody in a slam. Today, he was unable to realise that potential.

I truly believe this is the last of his records to be broken.

With this match, Roger also broke another record:

Tsonga will test Fed . Than Murray.

Both guys are able to beat him on AO in best of 5.

Especially Murray.

Raonic was really bad, except for serving. Fed still hasn't lost on serve in the whole tournament.

You're right! Roger invented all great things in tennis. All kidding aside, this day and age you do have to grind out some points. It's called defense. On the other hand, we did see Roger blocking back serves over 210 kph with a one-handed backhand for a clean winner. He invented that too.

I hope you're joking.

Although Raonic has beaten Murray twice in their one Grand Slam meeting he played a lot better than he did today and won 2 games less. With Federer he'll get poor returns occasionally and therefore hold a fair amount of times (second set was pretty evident of this).

I still remember Tsonga win over Fed on Wimbledon 2011 .

I hope we will have same thing here.

Draw from hell continues

People who hoped to see 5 set thriller like yesterday, forgot that Fed is different animal on slams. He is in top form, he doesnt fool around here like in Madrid or Halle.IMO he now has same chances to win AO 2013 as Murray or Djokovic.

easy draw yes. Look their score against fed before AO 2012. They were all his punching bags.

And with good reason - they dont have game or weapons to hurt Fed.

Tsonga is first player who can beat Fed and who was able to beat him on Grand Slams in the past.

Than comes Murray.
