Australian Open QF: (4) Ferrer d. (10) Almagro 4-6 4-6 7-5 7-6(4) 6-2
Painful as a huge fan of Almagro. Served for it three times.

Re: Australian Open QF: (4) Ferrer d. (10) Almagro 4-6 4-6 7-5 7-6(4) 6-2
This choke has almost everything:
1. Serving for the match multiple times while holding easily every other time
2. Other guy refusing the choke
3. Racquets flying, racquets smashed
4. Big occasion, first SF prospect
Just missing MP

This is unbelieavable... Almagro just can't with this guy. He just can't beat him.
He was so close SO MANY TIMES.
This is even worse than the Madrid match... Damn.
Poor Nico

I am gutted for Nico. But very happy for Ferru. What an amazing comeback!

The abundance of "lols" I uttered during this match was truly staggering. Simply GOAT choking from Mugro...

Don't post in the 'Almugro' thread out of respect for Nicolas.

Commiserations to Almagro.
Ferrer, I'm so proud of you . What a fighter! Now go win that semi and shut the haters up even further
But boy oh boy did David played poorly tennis-wise!
I think even Del Potro might have beaten him had he played like this against him...

Unspeakably painful, funny, satisfying (because I prefer Ferru) and hilarious... all at the same time
what a classic.

Normally I'd laugh, but I feel bad for Almagro. He seems genuine, humble and very gracious in defeat.
Ferrer was lucky here.
