Hi

I've found something interesting for German readers in "Tennis Magazin" which I bought 10 years ago.

Is he blogging again for the Hamburger Abendblatt this year?
There haven't been any new entries for ages on the link I used to check, but maybe it's an old link?

Still no blog, but there's an article about him today in the Hamburger Abendblatt:
http://www.abendblatt.de/sport/artic...greift-an.html

He was quite upset at the end of last year and completely switched off for a few weeks, literally, he spent all that time without a cell phone. It sounds like he had some private issues to sort out.
About his wrist: he was able to play without pain last week for the first time. The joint isn't completely the same yet, but the wrist isn't a problem anymore.
The Australian season was just practice time for him and he considers that his season is starting now.
He has big goals for 2010 and has made a few changes in his preparation in order to achieve them. He is still coached by his parents, but his condition training is much more intensive now (up to 40 km a day on bike), he is more powerful too and it already shows on the court, his serve and his groundstrokes are a few km/h faster.
He's also adjusted his diet, vegetable and fruit instead of fast food. He's gained 2 kg (90 kg!), but his body fat index already is much better, he feels fitter.

He lost 6-4 6-3 to Kukushkin.

Of course he got broken at 7-6 5-3 and also at 5-4 in the first set. But somehow he broke for the match to 0. Guez has not a big game, I'm glad Zverev got this done finally and didn't suffer another bad loss.

Mischa's results haven't gotten much better since the start of the season, that wrist injury really set him back when he was already struggling. His Rome points came off last week and he's now 139 in the world, but has very little to defend outside of 2 QF in Halle and Stuttgart for the rest of the season, so a top 100 place for the US Open and end of season is still possible.

Unfortunately, Mischa retired with a rib injury in the first set down 5-6 vs. Anderson this week in Munich, hopefully the injury isn't serious. He's scheduled to play the Bordeaux challenger next week, hopefully he will be fit enough to participate and go deep in the tournament!
