No, I was just wondering.

1R Petzschner/Peya d. (4)Bhupathi/Knowles 7-5 6-2 7-6(4)
2R Petzschner/Peya d. Tipsarevic/Troicki 6-4 6-4 6-3
3R Petzschner/Peya d. (15)Kas/Wassen 6-7(5) 7-6(7) 6-2 6-4
QF ...

Second week of a slam. I saw K/W were serving for it in the second set.
To be honest, a defeat against Lopez/Verdasco would really piss me off, so I would rather want to see Björkman/Ullyett winning the match.

I didn't see the 2nd set, but Peya has been the weak link in the 3rd set imo! He wasted half a dozen of BP because of poor returns and then got broken at 3-5 with a very shaky service game.

I'm pissed off, Björkmann-Ullyett look totally beatable.

Philipp is a Challenge god. He's been challenging quite a lot since I'm watching and everytime the ball just clipped the line.

Our team started with something like 3/33 on return, but since the middle of the second set, this looks like a winnable match on the scoreboard.

Can you see on the scoreboard who is serving, JMG? That was Philipp serving when it was 3-4 15-40 and then DF on game point!

They both are quite average at the moment, Philipp is wasting a lot of occasions too during the points and on return. But at least his serve is looking great. Tiebreak ->

Great tiebreak from Philipp! Both mini-breaks were on his returning side (the return itself was not a winner, but put them in a good position to win the point imo) and his serve was perfect.

Well, he missed a volley on the first SP, but never mind.
And then on the 2nd SP (Ullyett serving), he stopped the game to challenge the serve again, the English announcer was like "OMG, what a gambler, that's very risky!" - and he was right. Ullyett's 2nd serve was harmless and easy win for them.

Philipp and Alex just won the 4th set - a very nice match actually. What's costing the two (or cost them until the end of the 4th set) is/was the inconstancy especially on big points. But it's a very even contest and Alex and Philipp will have every chance.

Philipp is serving great indeed.

Shit, we jinxed him, he got broken then. No idea what happened, I had to leave shortly after the 4th set.
Well, Ullyett is not unbreakable and Björkmann is getting treatment on his shoulder atm, so it is still doable.

@ Truc

I guess you're listening to Mark Petchey and the great Peter Fleming then. Fleming was a great doubles player himself and winner of seven Grand Slams btw.

They just dropped serve but I think they will at least get one chance to break themselves.

Oh, that's Fleming? I know him, I started following tennis in the seventies! (I'm acting like a fangirl on MTF, but I'm old, actually.)
But I don't pay much attention to their comments because the sound on my laptop is terrible, so I just catch a few words most of the time.

This time I saw Philipp get broken again. Gosh, what a collapse.

Peya-Interview (German)

No big news, but better than nothing.

btw I think Philipp has earned more than 60'000 $ in this tournament, 50 points in singles and 250 points in doubles. Surely his most successful tournament ever.
