He's got the latest match on the oop and I fear Karanusic and Horna will play a slow match.

Court 9 - 12.00pm
Roko Karanusic (CRO) v Luis Horna (PER)
WTA
WTA
Hyung-Taik Lee (KOR) v Philipp Petzschner (GER)

1R Petzschner d. Lee 6-7(4) 6-1 6-4 ret.

But he's not on the oop tomorrow so his doubles shouldn't be before Thursday.

He should improve to 441 points after Wimbledon, that means even a top 100 ranking is possible. After Newport the US Open entry list will come out. The problem is that he will lose the 35 points from Oberstaufen in that week, so he needs a QF in Newport to be safe or a win over Ancic tomorrow.

Do you know how we can watch his match in Germany, JMG? Do you think Premiere will show it? Or are there other livestreams available here?
I had a Wimbledon Live subscription, but I just got a refund because I complained the livestreams are not available in Germany. Bad timing, it worked with a pr.o.xy. :-/

I think Premiere will show something, at least they mentioned the match yesterday evening.

OK, thanks, I'll just stick to Premiere and cross my fingers then. Zverev and Stadler also are playing on TV courts, but let's hope they won't all play at the same time.

http://www.sueddeutsche.de/sport/wei...el/817/182252/

He was truly shocked at the beginning of his first round match because the game was so slow. He didn't hit one single ace in training either, was already wondering if his shoulder was "kaputt". Many players complain about the grass and the strange bounce this year. Some even suspect the grass is brushed in the opposite direction of the ball to slow it down.
Philipp: "But it's Wimbledon, it's an honor to be there, no matter how they mow the stupid grass."

Mattek-Dushevina has to be the slowest match ever, I cannot believe it's still 1-1 in the 2nd set, I thought my scoreboard was dead.

Nothing to do with Wimbledon, I came across that website the other day, there are some nice pics of Philipp, but with watermarks:

You probably know it already anyway.

Well, I took another Wimbledon Live subscription because I realized I'll need it next week anyway.
He isn't that bad imo, Ancic is just too strong.

Just saw your post in GM about the partly disappointing performance, JMG, I knew you were going to post something like that.
But I was also thinking during the match he can actually play better than that (ground game, serve), he was not playing out of his mind and still managed to keep it so close, it was really encouraging - and a great fight anyway.

Did he have a chance in the second set btw? I saw he wasted a triple bp in the beginning. Throughout the 3rd and 4th set he also wasted some big chances on return, e.g. this bp in the 4th when he netted the easy forehand. Thanks to Simon Stadler and Premiere I didn't see the final set until 3-5.

Tomorrow only court 9 for him. But as long as they win it's okay.
