Last night they even got broken to 0 twice in the first set. At the end they had 2 break points at 4-6 3-5, but it seems they never were in the match.

I guess due to his wedding he doesn't play Metz this year. It can have an affect on his direct entry to Paris, because he defends 225 points now (Mont/Cinc/USO/Metz). So if he loses early in the next two tournaments, he might miss Paris. Not sure if he cares about Paris though.

Then he should play an indoor challenger with a WC to get easy points or play qualifying, where he would be one of the first seeded players for sure. These indoor challenger are very nice to get many points after regular ATP season (Paris TMS I mean) is finished, you still can play 3 weeks challenger, just like Berrer did last year and he won 2.

He plays the Masters Cup after Paris, there is no room for any other events I would say.

It was one of his worst matches ever, probably not even top 1000 level until 1-6 1-3. Then he suddenly came back to 4-3* 40-15 with solid tennis, but gifted him another break including 2 doubles faults at 4-4. Unbelievable how bad his forehand was in this match.
