It will be quite a close one but the Delpo tards that seem to think he's in another league to Andy... LOL. It's continuing even after the slam count was evened up.

One or two good first round displays and End da Troll starts trash talking. We'll see.

To be honest, they all have looked good so far. And much can change 'til the business time of the tournament, so I don't think it matters much.

Murray will definitely be the favorite if this QF materializes. Even when he was in his best ever form in late 2009, blasting through Murray's defensive walls on slow hardcourts would always be a huge ask of JMDP.

While he's playing well and definitely has a shot to cause an upset, that's what a JMDP win will be: an upset. Murray is currently the better player and the conditions favor him, JMDP will have to play an amazing match to have a shot at a victory.

that's what MTF does to you : a few tards say "Del Po is a slam winner, Andy can't, has no forehand, no mental etc", a few other tards (notably Clidey in his time) reply "Del Po is completely unable to defeat Murray, Del Po has lost ALL of their matches" ... then others reply etc etc ...

in the end, very very very few people can keep calm in that nonsensical fight just saying that it would just be a tight match as all of their matches have been , even though Murray is the favorite.

I concur. Those two will be the toughest, followed by Tsonga and then Janko (if he even makes it there).

Only problem for Berdych is that he's playing Novak, which is not an ideal matchup for him. Although you could probably say that about any other player on the tour, but I think you get my point.

another thing that might be worth mentioning is that players seem to agree the courts are faster this year (20% over last year, if you believe Federer), and that should help the likes of Berdych and Del Potro.

I've watched all of the top three play every round. Considering the time difference between Melbourne and Buenos Aires here, as you can imagine I am exhausted.

Have to concur with ProdigyEng. Murray's forehand looks much improved over the last year or so, and is holding up well here. Faster and deeper. I think he could cause Djokovic more problems should they meet in the final.

Federer has served well and his backhand has been better than it sometimes is, but he's making a lot of errors, more than is comfortable I feel.

Djokovic has never looked troubled, and his lateral movement (as ever) looks exceptional. His match against Stepanek was really entertaining though. Never seen that much of Stepanek, but he's great to watch. Lots of fun ralleys and interesting contrast of styles between the two.

He put similar performance against Almagro in Abu Dabi, all casual and entertaining. I think he must take this AO more seriously or he's likely to lose the edge against Murray who is deadly serious btw.

Berdych has looked best thusfar. Then del Potro. But that won't hold. Tipsarevic has barely clung on, and Kavcic killed himself to get to seeded rounds

Djokovic looked amazing. He appears to be in peak form. Delpo also looked really really good. I'll echo what others have said about Federer: he is serving very well, and has been going for a ton with his groundstrokes, which has resulted in more errors than usual.

I have heard a number of people say that Murray also looks great and appears to be in peak form, but I haven't seen him play yet.

I'm really exicted about a potential Delpo/Murray match.

For my part I've only watched Federer and Djokovic and Djokovic seems to be playing effortless consistent tennis right now. He is the favorite. Fed's serve has been lights-out the past two matches but he's been racking up unforced errors like he doesn't care going for power backhand winners and wild forehands. Might be because he knows he could beat any of his opponents in the early rounds with his eyes closed so he's trying some stuff out.

Haven't seen Murray but I assume he's consistent as always.

But remember everyone here is a tard. So don't trust anything anyone says here. For example everything I just posted could be a total lie.
most are tards? you seriously think that a fan on here who likes Federer avoids watching Murray matches entirely? of course not. for example I love Nadal but I've seen all of the top players matches this tournament and would have regardless of if Nadal was playing here. don't mistake someone being a fan of a player with that of them not enjoying tennis in all of its regards. there would be no point in following a sport where you were only aware of one player.

as for the OP's question, some have already addressed it well, hard t osay much so far. with only a few rounds through none of the top 3 have looked like they 'had' to go to that next level or cared to. Djokovic showed his first signs of any concern this tournament in the third set vs. STepanek but even that was not a huge worry. Federer has skated by but his opponents, such as Paire, had extremely embarassing and lackluster effort / form. Murray has looked fairly good. to be honest of the top 3 the one I am most concerned for atm woudl be Federer, Tomic is playing well and if you're back to watching tennis you should definitely try to catch that match tonight.

oh and Tsonga, Berdych, Almagro, Anderson, all looking good. been a pretty slow first week so far to be honest
