Well it's translation, not my opinion. Davydenko has frequently made such delusional comments in the past - something like if he played much better and opponent on the same level, then Denko would have won or at least pushed opponent to the limit.

He still gave credit to Federer, though, saying Roger served great and put a lot of pressure on Davydenko's 2nd serve. The courts playing fast also benefited Fed.

What Davydenko is trying to say is that Tomic won't go so easy on the old man.

I'll always remember Davydenko for saying that Murray was not good enough to win a slam. What happened next? Murray won the very next slam and became Slamray, silencing the haters.

Ok , I try my translation :

In the beginning Roger was playing very cautious, he was trying to keep the ball in play . Thats why we had long rallies. He also hoped to hold all his service games and he did it because he served very well, lot of 1st serves in, which meant I didnt have much chance to play in return games. On my own serve I fought of course, but he always put huge pressure on my 2nd serve.

Bounce here is very fast, sometimes I even couldnt play second shot if Swiss returned right on my baseline. Right when I went on court I felt how hot it was, there wasnt enough air for me.I ran few games and at 2-2 I already felt I was tired, but whole match was still to play.

At this moment I didnt know how I could keep myself in match, I had to run all the time because Federer plays sharp and fast.Of course if you are very fit and already played few matches on central court you can do it.But I wasnt ready to do it in second round.Yes, Federer looks very good at the moment, but I dont think he can win all matches here in three sets.Other guys are adjusting to conditions and his game.I think they dont allow Roger play like I did.

....................

IMO, he wasnt bitter at all, he was just disappointed how he played.

from what i gather from that really awful translantion i don't really see any bitterness at all.

davydenko has always been a gentle champion and accepts his loses with grace when they are fair.

delete this thread please.

Fail thread. Little surprised Davydenko is complaining about the fast bounce though, that's the essence of his game. But I guess both Fed and Davy have lost their half volleying abilities with age, it's just hurt Davy a lot more
