I think this could be one of those epic generational matches like the fourth round in Wimbledon 2001 when Federer himself played Sampras. Yes, Tomic hasn't done very much since they met in Melbourne last year, but I think he's a much better player than he was, especially with the confidence he's acquired in the last two weeks. Federer is certainly no better than he was twelve months ago, probably a little worse.

I'll stick my neck on the line and say Tomic in five sets, but I hope Federer wins.
