AO R2: TOMIC derails Brands 6-7(4) 7-5 7-6(3) 7-6(8)
I'm really starting to love this kid. Now bring on this Federer guy.
Brands was in MP saving mode today. One at 4-5, two at 5-6, three in the TB from 3-6. Another one at 6-7. But then A-TOMIC had enough of the Brandwagon.

Wow, epic. Credit to Brands for making it so tight.
Haters can suck it etc.

Great effort at the end, Brands, saved 7 MPs.
Well played Tomic Now you'll lose to Roger in straights
This match though

First time I watched Tomic this year, not near the improvement I thought I'd see.
He will need to take it up a few notches to be in with a prayer against Fed.

If Brands kept his nerve at the end of sets just a bit better, could have won this.
3rd set was amusing, wins every service game to love, then starts the tiebreak with a double.

Tomic realised that the sun was starting to hide behind the clouds and he couldnt no longer get his tan. So he decided to finally end this match and go home, to watch Baldenko teaching the GOAT a tennis lesson...

Did Tomic seriously just say "unexpectedly, he played really well" in the interview?

T-bomb taking it to the Brandwagon, then taking it to network television by using the word Arse. Love this man.

Yes, but people are digging too much into it I think.

Yep. He also prefers to play Davydenko (laughs) and got his arse kicked by Federer both times they played.
Great interview, another one for the butthurt folks collecting his "naughty" interviews.

Beating Brands isn't very impressive, let's see what he can do against Davydenko in the next round.
