All that Fed has done for this sport and the tennis media couldn't wait an instant to throw him under the bus Hope they feel satisfied when he retires and they're all out of a job when tennis loses half it's viewing public and sponsorships

Djokovic is the world no.1 and he's got the best draw out of the top 4. Serena looks like she's at least 2 clases above her opponents. Absolutely trashed them this summer. Men's sleeper (i guess this means black horse or something) please PLEASE stop overrating Janowicz. Just please. Almagro? He won't go further than 4th round. I'm surprised to see nobody mentioned Gasquet or Kohlschreiber. In women's tournament Pavlyuchenkova is a bit overrated because she made the final in Brisbane but her game didn't convince me. I'm surprised nobody chose Vesnina who looks to be back on form and won the title in Hobart. And what the fuck are Tatishvilli and Bartoli doing up there? Men's toughest draw is Tipsarevic without a doubt. And in women's toughest road category i agree on Wozniacki but i'm surprised to see nobody mentioned Sharapova. Errani? Really? It's not like that weaponless vulture would have a good run anyway

Why would they pick him? Just because what he did for the game? His chances are slimmer than Djokovic's and Murray's anyway and the draw makes it even more difficult. So no surprise here. If Federer wins it will be a surprise not a value bet

A fed fan is mad because no one selected him to win... REALLY... REALLY? I thought fed fans prefered it when NO ONE expects him to win and he proves them wrong again? I guess that you'll be bragging like mad if he wins now.

Picks seem fine to me. Nole is World No.1, has been victorious in his last meetings with his biggest opponents (although not in Slams) and is undefeated at the AO since 2011. It's a logical pick. I know one poster said Janowicz is overrated but I like his pick as dark horse. He probably won't win it but he'll do well as long as it's not windy.

You butthurt?

If they don't think Federer will win, they don't think Federer will win. Simple. Nothing disrespectful about it.

Fedtards just....

http://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/...143628173.html

´This year's men's event could be a classic too – the big three of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Andy Murray are almost inseparable.
It is interesting to hear Murray say he is more motivated than ever before and I can understand that. Winning the US Open will work fantastically well for him and I'd be very surprised if he is picked off early.
I also think the pressure is off Djokovic somewhat. His 2011 was so spectacular that he was always going to have a bit of a regression in 2012 and yet he still won plenty. He didn't always play his best tennis last year but he still produced some unbelievable performances full of resilience and spirit.
Djokovic has a clean run to the final without any of the 'big three' of Federer, Murray and the absent Rafa Nadal in his half of the draw. However that could also work in Murray's favour, as he cannot play Djokovic in the semis where they would probably have knocked six bells out of each other - and then whoever moved through had a huge task to recover to win the final.
I wouldn't entirely discount Federer, although a lot of people have written him off and I do feel he is unlikely to win it.´

The only expert whose opinion means anything. Fed might have a decent shot after all.
