Tennis players who live in wealthy countries often get big sponsorships even if the player hasn't done much, purely because of the population of that country.
Australia's middle-class are the wealthiest in the world, and it's the middle-class that Nike targets. Of course, we're sparsely populated so they would make less than in the US or Japan, but they do charge almost double so it kind of balances out aha. |

This guy is such a brat. After the match he said something like it's a good feeling to go on court thinking nobody can beat you... not even the world #1.
LOL he's let the exo win against Novak go to his head, pity he's in Federer's half and not Novak's I would've loved to have seen Novak teach him a lesson on the big stage.
Anyway, not surprised Pat doesn't want him on the Davis Cup team.

I don't like him, but I can see that he's just a young guy finding his way. Djokovic was a whiny brat at his age, so was Agassi, McEnroe, Hewitt, even Federer had his moments.

So what's your problem. He is playing well, feeling really good about his game and has the balls to say so. Perhaps you would prefer him to lie and just mouth some meaningless platitudes about how he will give it his best shot against the likes of Fed. Tennis desperately needs some cocky young upstarts to come along and take on the big guns. Besides his honesty in interviews gives people who don't like him the chance to have a good laugh when he loses. |

Certainly wasn't an Aussie channel, Sydney and Hobart are on different channels here.
Congrats Brenie, was laughing when I heard at the start of the week Tomic was favourite here but with the way he played he certainly deserved the title. |
