Re: Sydney F: Tomic's Maiden Title 6-3 6-7(2) 6-3 over Anderson
Brilliant.
What an emotional moment it was: a young champion kissing the ground and taking his shirt off for the crowd. He's not only a phenomenal tennis genius but also a born showman.
Who is capable of beating him at the AO? The Nard Dog has not looked like losing this year.

Disappointed for Anderson, but good start of the year for him anyway
I still hope he can improve this year and become closer to the top 20. He has nearly the same level as Querrey in my mind, so I think he could pass the step...

Re: Sydney F: Tomic's Maiden Title 6-3 6-7(2) 6-3 over Anderson
I think Tomic needs to get consistent.Having a good result here and there, even winning a title,he was always good for,but he needs to make the next step.If he loses in R3 at the AO against Federer in straight sets,no big deal. But his main focus should be on getting good results throughout the year. Not only in Australia or in the Slams but in the 250 or 500 events in all the places.
If he goes into an European or Asian 250 event thinking, what am i doing here, let`s tank the match then he is going nowhere.

Tomic skipped the whole 'losing in finals' step. He's developing at a much faster rate

This long-awaited break of Tomic is heartening.
Now Djoker and Murray will not have all the slams for themselves.

Re: Sydney F: Tomic's Maiden Title 6-3 6-7(2) 6-3 over Anderson

He's great to watch when he tries. The thing is he needs to try all the time, not like last year. Loving the pace in his matches. That's how it should be done.Unlike some ball bouncers and ass pickers.
His ability to end a point quickly when he's in control is really good.Sometimes makes the great shots look so effortless, and only a big talent can do that.Hope he doesnt revert to mug mode again after AO.

Ok, let's not go that far yet, they still probably will.

Start getting used to the image of Tomic with a trophy in his hands. I like the trophy btw, a lot classier than some of the other tournaments offer (uhum...Madrid...cough cough)
