Oh please! Paire is an easy match for Fed. Even if Paire plays well he won't be able to keep it up for 3 sets, he will implode and gift Fed the win. And that is when he does play well.
Davydenko won't be a threat either, also do implosion-issues.
Tomic or Klizan, don't see a problem here. Kohli doesn't stand a chance, Raonic' form is gone, so he won't be making R4 anyways. It will get tough from the quarters and on, but the streak will not end here.
People make a draw tougher then it can be.If Federer is in good form he should get to the quarters at least.Paire is a typical R1 match,Davydenko can be tough for a set and a half until he pushes the self destruction button,Tomic doesn`t have the weapons to hurt Federer,Raonic might not even make it to R4 and from the baseline his game is average,Tsonga can be tough but he could melt in the sun and lose against a low ranked opponent as well. And if he gets to the semis and plays Murray or Del Potro it`s about day form and anything can happen.
Big tennis Tv watcher since early 90`s
He may have a harder earlier draw, but he's still going to win every match. At most Paire, Davy, and Tomic could take a set off Fed. Going 4 sets for his first 3 matches will not be good for Fed fans, but Raonic beating Fed on this surface? Won't happen. Don't expect more than 4 sets for that one either. There's the QF streak kept alive. Tsonga as his opponent? Fed through to the semi's. Harder path than Djoko and Murray, but still pretty much guaranteed to get there.
Don't forget that at the WTF last year, we all expected Murray to thrash Fed, but it didn't happen. So I wouldn't pencil Murray in for the win straight away.
Djokovic though is assured another final unless he gets injured during a match....
Despite the fact Tsonga is the only one to have beaten him in GS coming back from 2 sets to 0?
Despite his great record at AO?
Despite the fact Tsonga has been playing great in Hopman CUP?
1. Can you PLEASE stop calling Roger Federer Rogie!? It's like you're referring to your little sister.
2. WTF is wrong with you people? Hard draw? What's so hard about drawing Paire and Davydenko? Imagine Paire or Davy beating Fed in a best of 5. The chances are not good. Hard draw is when you get Hewitt in R1 of AO.
3. When talking about the current top3, we should talk about R4, QF, maybe in some cases R3, not R1 and R2. Do you really expect Roger, Novak or Andy to lose to a #100 player? They are not Nadal.
If Federer wants to win the Aussie Open he'll have to beat top level players. Of course he could have avoided difficult oponents in early rounds, but this is how draws are made. Federer has the pottential to win those matches, and maybe facing tough opponents in early rounds will help him in order to play a better tennis in QF, SF, etc.
Sometimes you have an easy draw and you find difficulties with players that have not pressure or with veteran players that can always be tough to win. Look at Rosol-Nadal match on WB or Federer-Benneteau match in WB too.
Love for the game above any particular player.
Kenny de Schepper fact of the month (April 2015): Kenny de Schepper has won more Challenger titles than Federer, Nadal, Djokovic and Murray (Big Four).
