Re: What's the point of a purple rep?
Never saw purple, only red, green and grey. The grey ones are for the new users, I guess it prevents someone registering an account just to dish out bad reps

Yeah yeah, the grey. Only it appears purple at first sight over the grey template MTF uses.
So old users can't dish out a grey/purple rep. Pity. I was hoping it had some meaning outside of Good or Bad.

Actually, there should be more than just good or bad reps, life and people not being so black and white without shades of grey in the middle.
Marvelous--Brilliant--Good--interesting--ok--poor--bad--evil--maniac. something along those lines would be more fun.

Usually it's tied to your post count, until you are past it, all reps are grey. But it doesn't really matter since the rep system doesn't wokr on this forum, it merely serves as additional form of private messages

Re: What's the point of a purple rep?
Grey reps only show up for posters that are new and don't have enough posts to give a Red or Green Rep. Once you go over a certain post count--sorry I forget what the exact count is--you can no long give a grey Rep even if you wanted to.
