OK it's true that Fed drew Murray instead of Ferrer in the US Open, Shanghai and the Aus open (but not in the Olympics and Cincy) and had to play against him in the WTF Semi,
but if he keeps number 2 for Madrid, Roma or Roland-Garros, he would at least be sure to avoid Djokovic in semis even if Nadal could always be there
... and I know you would like Roger to bring his weeks in the top-2 as long as possible (atm 413 weeks guaranteed until the end of Indian Wells, it's still possible to argue between him and Lendl at this number)

Do you (or anyone else) have a link for that, or don't the "foreign-language" pressers make it online?
If that was the case, which I was suspecting, then I'm even more amazed he managed to fight that hard.
Would've made an ... interesting final.

Oh well, Djokovic won. Now he has as many AOs as Roger. Anyways, since it was a toss up between this and the rankings, ... to move on....

Do you have a link to Roger's post match interview? I've been searching YouTube and can't fine one. Thanks.

I haven't found any printed Swiss German press conference from Roger and unfortunately I can't watch his interviews with Swiss TV in Germany but there is a little clip you can listen to here:

(It's in Swiss German though )

Well, the AO is Novak's best tournament and everything went also his way - let's better not get back to the Wawrinka match

Yesterday I posted a video of the press conference but unfortunately the clip has been taken down from the internet and I also can't find it elsewhere.

They may be tied of AOs, but they will never be tied on French Opens, Wimbledons or US Opens!

I didn't hear it firsthand, but this Swiss journalist tweeted about it:

Thanks, Eden. Unfortunately, for legal reasons it's only available in Switzerland, but I expect from previous experience that I'd have needed subtitles anyway!
So, I know people were saying that, given that he pretty much didn't stand a chance of beating Djokovic anyway, it was probably just as well he didn't get through to the final, but since Andy couldn't manage it either, would you rather, in hindsight, that Roger had got through to the final?
