I miscalculated him, it was not so easy to find correct points, but he's on the list now.

I give 10 points if you lost your first match regardless of which round it is.

Update

Nadal with his win stays in 5th overall, but is now really close to those above him. One more SF would see him advance to 2nd.

Djokovic advances from 9th to 8th, past McEnroe and now close to Borg. He also advances from 13th to 11th for RG and looks certain to break the top-10 next year.

Federer goes past Wilander into 4th for RG points and is really close to Lendl and 3rd.

Murray advances three spots from 17th to 14th overall

Ferrer enters the total top-30 at 30th.

Glad to see Ferrer making the general cut off list. May he be the only one without a Major?. Another strong reason to label him the best player without a slam (or at least the one who deserved it most).

Ferrer is the only one on the list without a slam, yes. Next one on the list (not visible) is Todd Martin in 36th with 9555 points. Berdych 2nd best of the active players at 41st with 8500.

Wimbledon points added.

Nadal passes Lendl into 4th overall and has a very short way up to 2nd. Djokovic passes Borg into 7th but will need a bit of work to advance further.

For Wimbledon Djokovic advances from 12th to 8th. Nadal stays put in 9th after overtaking Ivanisevic but being passed by Djokovic. Murray passes Newcombe to advance from 14th to 13th.

Updated after USO. No significant movements for total points. For USO points Federer goes past Lendl into 3rd. For HC points Ferrer enteres the top-20 and Cilic the top-25.

Great thread and awesome stats.

But can the stats be adjusted to reflect the points for all players in the same way, this is me presuming Nadal, Fed gets 2000 points for a slam win compared to yesteryear giants getting 1000 points for a slam win.

Thanks

I'm not sure why you presume this when the OP states the same scale is used throughout, all the way back to 1968, when there were no points on offer at all. Was my wording unclear?
