OMG, I don't ever think he will win this one. No doubt used up one of his get-out-of-jail card here. No matter. But ugly ugly ugly match from him, any chance he can play better next time? surely he can't play any worse, I hope.

Well he'll have to play much better if he wants any chance at all against Benoit Paire that's for sure.

So glad for Gilles, even if he's playing awful he fights, but no doubt, he needs to step his game or he will get eaten by Benoit. Also It's been a while since he last saved MP's, so really glad he can take a mental win.

He is a counter-puncher and Lorenzi's style is kind of similar to his. He just played really shitty for most of the match, it was off and on the whole time, way too many errors... And then at the end he pulled some really inspired stuff out of his ass. He was hitting some really deep, really flat groundies that Lorenzi couldn't handle. And now he is the only seed left in his quarter of the draw with Ferrer out-!

I did overhear Gilles say during the interview even though they weren't showing it and were showing a picture of the stadium from outside that he was having trouble initially with his serve because of the sun and once that went down it helped him to get a few more free points with it.

Also, I will give Gilles credit for not just throwing in the towel and continuing to fight, but he really shouldn't have gotten in that mess of a situation to begin with. Paire is super aggressive and if Gilles wants any chance of beating him he's going to have to play a lot better and closer to the baseline.

I live in SoCal and I can testify to the sun being a BITCH today. I was wrapping up a set of tennis with my friend when Gilles started and it was really hard to serve on one side of the court because the sun was so damn bright. I feel u Gillou.
I won the set today, btw. 6-4.

ACC is basically a contest between posters here who managed to produce the most nonsense on GM over the year, the biggest troll so to speak. So it's a 3-4 rounds (or more, not sure) elimination by votes. It's the opposite of popularity contest. I believe ACC stands for Arse Clown Contest, but I'm not entirely sure.
