Re: 2013 Australia, new adventure begins in Down Under
Volandri won the first set in less than 30 mins.
Winners/UE, 3/14 for Gilles, 8/8 for Volandri.
I'm sad, this is just sad.

This is horrible tennis.

Set and a break down, this is awful, at least he made a great point. 15-30

Broken again in 2nd serving first.
I'm sorry, but he's not there, this is hopeless. This will be a first round loss, first time in many years.

6-2 2-1 down , he's allowing Volandri to dictate all the time, it's just annoying.

Re: 2013 Australia, new adventure begins in Down Under
Whoa whoa whoa. Let's all stop and take a deep breath guys. It's still best 3 out of five sets. Volandri still has a long way to go before he's won this thing. I'll admit that Gilles is looking rough right now, but he is only down a break in the 2nd set and he could easily turn this thing around and I think he will.

I never notice that Volandri has such ugly serving motion, but at least he holds his serves.

I'm working on my anti-jinx. Negativity is needed for it.

Re: 2013 Australia, new adventure begins in Down Under
Win 2nd set, 4W/7UE, well, that's an improvement.
This is still terrible. I hope he'll get better. C'mon Gillou, get it going.

Re: 2013 Australia, new adventure begins in Down Under
Tied a set a piece now and Gilles has more spring in his step too. I think he was just a bit flat and now he's firmly into the match.

He blows his nose a lot during changeovers, under the weather? Allergy?

Re: 2013 Australia, new adventure begins in Down Under
Took the 3rd set. Frankly, I think he's still playing like crap. But thank goodness he's playing Volandri, a player more decent wouldn't have let him get away with this. But he still hasn't won, so I better don't jinx him.
3rd set W/UE 6/8.
