Default Re: WWW Brisbane International 250

Raonic's draw isn't easy at all whatsoever. He came on the 29th in Australia and will have to eventually face another big server in his first match of the season, while Dimitrov if he makes it will have played a doubles match and a single.
Grigor is in Australia since the 24th, so he seems very serious about this swing.

If the new Swedish academy has given him even a 1% improvement during off season, he should be a very, very hard nut to crack for Raonic, for whom an average serving day means losing.

It looks like Milos' been on vacation till the very last moment (started a 3 hours drive + 22 hours flight on the 27th of December from Montenegro), while Dimitrov's been working real hard, so if the point of predicting is just re-reading the past, then it's not so hard.

But the point is to actually try and predict what will happen, not what would have happened last year, so Milos is up for a hard time i think.

A potential Melzer in third round would be considered a good draw for Dimi i think, so from there on you never know.

I voted "Other", let's see.

If anything strange happens Murray should clinch this title.

If Andy wants to use this tournament to get a title, then he'll win. Easily. If he's here for some match practice then he'll probably still win.

Dimi, although a decent player, ain't no big server, at the very least least not when compared to mighty Milos.

The 1st round qualifying spots are kind in Brisbane. Ito (last direct acceptance), Robredo (injury protected ranking to enter), Falla (one of the last direct acceptances) and Melzer (7).

Last year, he lost to a player ranked outside the top 100 on three occasions. He's very vulnerable.

Yeah ok, he lost to Berrer twice and Smyczek, but that's it, it's not like it's a regular thing, was also dealing with an injury.

Pospisil doesn't count, the match did not finish.

Anyway I expect him to have a much better season this year, he won't be losing to anyone ranked outside the top 100 who isn't that good, heck, probably top 50, unless it's a matchup issue, which it could be with Berrer.
